  • Residence Inn by Marriott Cape Town Foreshore (Culemborg, Cape Town): Set to open in 2030, this 3-star, upper-midscale hotel will feature 150 rooms and bring South Africa’s first Residence Inn by Marriott to Culemborg, Cape Town. Currently in the planning phase, the property will introduce the brand’s extended-stay concept as part of the Harbour Arch development, a mixed-use precinct inspired by Johannesburg’s Melrose Arch.

  • Holiday Inn Express West Cairo 205 (Arkan, Egypt): Opening in 2027, this 3-star, upper midscale/midscale hotel, which is already under construction, will offer 200 rooms in the rapidly developing West Cairo district, near the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum. The property will feature two meeting venues, F&B and retail outlets, a fitness center, and high-speed Wi-Fi, making it a convenient and modern stay option for visitors to the area.

Prominent 4-Star Hotel Developments

  • Ascott Riviera Golf Abidjan (Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire): Currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2027, this 4-star, upscale serviced residence will offer 100 apartments. Set beside the renowned Ivoire Golf Club in the prestigious Riviera district, it marks Ascott’s first property in Ivory Coast. The residence will feature studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units, along with a range of premium amenities including meeting rooms, a business center, residents’ lounge, infinity pool, spa, fitness center, and two restaurants with a bar.

  • Radisson RED Casablanca Finance City (Casablanca, Morocco): Opening in 2028, this 4-star, first-class hotel is under construction in Casa Anfa, at the heart of Casablanca Finance City, Morocco’s financial hub. The 175-room Radisson RED will offer a restaurant, pool bar, fitness center, outdoor pool, and rooftop pool, along with a 1,100-square-meter conference center featuring an auditorium, ballroom, and meeting rooms.

Luxurious 5-Star Hotel Projects

  • Mandarin Oriental Shepheard (Cairo, Egypt): Set to open in Q2 2026, this 5-star luxury hotel is currently under construction in Downtown Cairo. The 276-room hotel will feature spacious rooms and suites, many with balconies overlooking the Nile, Gezira Island, and the city. Guests will have access to five restaurants and bars, including a rooftop venue, an exclusive club lounge, and expansive function spaces such as a rooftop ballroom.

  • TUI BLUE Watamu (Watamu, Kenya): Planned to open in 2027, this 5-star luxury hotel is currently in the planning phase in Watamu, Kenya. Offering 117-rooms, the project will feature suites and apartments along with a variety of amenities, including a beach club, specialty seafood restaurant, all-day café, cocktail and pool bars, and a grill. It is being developed, managed, and operated by Valor Hospitality in partnership with TUI Blue.
